Foundation Piecing

Foundation Piecing

I use very lightweight sew-in interfacing for foundation piecing so I don’t have to tear out paper. To transfer the pattern, I press interfacing onto freezer paper, and then I copy the pattern onto the interfacing with my inkjet printer.

    1. Hello! The reason we do both is because the freezer paper is used to stabilize the “interfacing” in order to run it through a printer. (You would remove
the freezer paper before you begin the piecing process). You could trace the foundation sewing lines onto the interfacing, but if you are making multiple shapes, the printer is a faster and more accurate method. Thank you for your comment! 🙂
