Mary Fons A professional writer and performer based in Chicago, Mary co-hosts the nationally-airing PBS program "Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting" along with her mom, famed quilter and educator Marianne Fons. In 2010, Mary created Quilty, an online show offered weekly on QNNtv.com. Targeted primarily to the beginner quilter, Quilty offers instruction, guidance, and inspiration to those who want to learn to make a quilt, whatever their age or experience level. In 2012, Mary created Quilty magazine (New Track Media), which quickly met with critical and commercial acclaim. Mary holds a B.A. in Theater Arts from the University of Iowa. | Sandy Gervais Sandy has always been an artist. When met with little encouragement from a high school counselor, she was challenged to prove him wrong. Sandy started her own greeting card company, which allowed her to express her love of art and design. In 1992, she launched her pattern company, Pieces From My Heart, and in 1994, she was discovered by Moda. Sandy says, "I like people to look at my designs and see a little piece of me.
