  1. I love your show, you make things simple, I like the old country look and this is the quilt that would make it on my bed…thank you for all these patterns..can't wait to get started.

  2. I am making this for my nephews wedding present and since they have 4 favorite colors red blue green and brown this pattern will look great and I thank you for having it as a free download

  3. I am in the middle of this in blues and browns. I like the way it's coming together. I may have to add aother half block on the sides to make it 5×5.

  4. Thank you for the free pattern. I so love fall and this pattern is simply beautiful. I am going to try something different with it though a blue whales, dolphins, turtles – ocean themed quilt for my brother and his wife! I am excited to try it! 🙂

  5. What a delightful Fall Quilt to make. Blocks are not to big and looks very easy to make. I had no problems downloading and with all the big scraps of fabric I have I will be able to make a dent in downsizing my stash to make room for more. Any excuse to go shopping is a GREAT ONE and I get a FABulous quilt out of it as well – YEA!!! THANK YOU!!!

  6. Thank you for the free pattern! It is beautiful! I am always curious why pattern writers for Fons & Porter still cut 1/2 triangles, rather than the quicker / easier ways that are published in the magazine that gives you two squares done. I would love the measurements for that way, I get a better square when I am done.

  7. Hi Joanie, sometimes the best way to find things is through a Google Search. You may even be able to find the layer cakes in your area if you refine the search for stores in your area. Good luck.

  8. Thanks for the free pattern. Bought some wonderful flanel material in Florida. Will make a quilt for our grandson who has just been accepted into Yale. Can't wait to get back to Iowa and start on the quilt. Thanks

  9. A beautiful quilt that I am anxious to begin on. So much potential in this pattern for color choices. Although it is country I am thinking of using some of my batiks.
