How to Display a flag
Thank you for your comment ecatricala, I have provided a link for you to see how the flag is displayed when suspended, which is how these flags are shown. The pattern is honorable and correct. http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/more/displayonly.htm

Flags in Distress
The more I looked at this quilt, the more I felt disturbed until I realized the flags are displayed backwards. I will definitely make this quilt in honor of all service members, however I will place the flags correctly.
