A Dragonfly Takes Flight |
Our occassional correspondent George Shuster wrote to share his latest amazing creation -- and to request some help from all you quilt fans out there.
For those of you unfamilar with George's "clothes label" quilts, check out this article. Here's what George had to say about his newest:
Hope all's well.
Thought you might be interested in seeing my latest label quilt (below). To give you a sense of it's scale, the wingspan is 5 feet, and all the veins are hand embroidered. It's a much larger version of the Anax junius (the Common Green Darner dragonfly) that I did previously. I think it my best yet. Hope you like it.
It did deplete my stash of labels, so if you see any stray labels hanging around, you know where they would find a welcome home!!
All my best,
George
