Hummingbird Trail

Hummingbird Trail

Jackie Robinson designed, not only this quilt, but its gorgeous fabrics as well. She used a combination of Nine-Patch and appliquéd quilt blocks to highlight her feathered friends. The border of the quilt features mitered corners to create an illusion of a continuous line around the quilt border. A Sew Easy video from Fons & Porter shows how to make mitered corners on a quilt.

  1. The pattern call for the 9 patch and applique blocks are 6" but all other blocks are cut to 6.5 inches. Does this make sense? Shouldn't all blocks be the same size when putting the rows together? Pattern clearly calls for Cream Print 1, 2 and 3 to be 6.5 inch squares and the 9-patch and applique to be 6 inch squares. Am I crazy or is there an error in the pattern?
